L'Intrus

A box-pleated scarf, worn by Ginger in the picture above.

This is one of the most striking scarves of my collection. Birds shown in flight around the scarf's border, with detailed feathers in many colours. It is amazing how the craftsmen have reproduced the the line-thin strokes using metal stencils, one for each colour.

The box-pleats show more of the scarf's design than does the usual thin fan-pleats of the Hermès plisse scarves.

In the picture below can be seen part of the Hermès-Paris signature. There is no artist signature that I can find. It is difficult to look for it with the pleats, and if anyone knows who the artist is I'd be glad to know.
