Jardin Secret
On my window ledge, I grow succulents. I am fascinated by them. They have curvy, rounded leaves: some long, some rounded, some are ovals, some end in sharp points. They come in all shades of green, their leaves sometimes fringed in red or purple. They are the most forgiving of plants, only need infrequent watering, and if a leaf is accidentally broken off.. sometimes a baby plant grows from it. Comforting beauty.
It was with deep delight that I found this was one of the designs for Spring 2003 scarves. These photos of the scarf was taken with the sunlight filtering down on it, some parts are in shadow and some lit up. Jardin Secret, it's name discreetly set into the design, an echo of it's meaning. A private refuge of exotic plants, patterned rocks, upturned pots and mossy planters. A greedy brown ceramic frog and a green salamander in this garden of surprises.
My Scarves.
