These pictures are scanned from the Hermès Fall-winter 2001/02 catalogue as I don't have a digital camera. The colours are not as vivid as the original, and certainly the details are not as clear as I would wish.

It is one of my favourite scarves because of it's subject matter, edged with a Mac Classic OS window. :)

I wore it the afternoon I bought it. Its bright colours cheered me up. That was nothing compared to an unexpected chance meeting whilst it was round my shoulders.. still makes me smile when it comes to mind... Sept '01

[ detail of scarf ]

Here is a detail showing some of the figures and the H for Hermès in the style of the @ symbol.

This is the accompanying text to this scarf in the booklet:

The internet is a wonder to behold! It links the Chinese acupuncturist to spanish lumbago and it connects an English aristocrat to his cup of tea. All information is routed; ideas begin to circulate. Sometimes there are exchanges. Magical web, planetary babble, inducing virtual vertigo... Here is commerce at its supreme, trading for the universe. A thousand windows open at once on our world; we lean out for a better view of all the people, and what do we find? An angel at every corner.

Scarf artist is Christine Henry.

Aaah! A new picture.
