You make my day, every day..

Do you recognise this?

[ a lovely Trixie running towards you ]

This was sent to me back in the days when I was sending out messages for Jei Harvey. As it was for Anipike, I'd let Jei decide what he'd like done with it. I really like it, but can't find the name of the artist anymore (sorry, sorry!) If you do know who did it, please let me know.

Pieces of a Past..

The Anipike Guestpicks columns are some of the greatest gifts I've ever had. The contributors gave of their time and creativity, there you will find some of the most diverse collections of words and images of anime/manga fandom online.

Below are a few of the original images.

[ cute pinkhaired girl winking ]
Ian Kim - I was absolutely bowled over when Ian came up with a guestpick with his characters from Genesis Chronicles for the new year, and thrilled to find out he was just as nice in person when I met him at Otakon 2000.

Widya Santoso - I knew of Widya as The Cosplayer Extraordinaire, but I didn't think of him as a really cute person until I found out about the little sketches he'll do!

[ a lovely Trixie running towards you ]
Danny Hong - I don't think you'll ever meet anyone at an anime convention as warm and exuberant as Danny. As you can see, he's not lacking in the sketching department either.

That's a pretty good picture of the people on the panel. :)
They are: Widya Santoso, Danny Hong, Sailor Bacon, Mara and Jupe. Incidentally, I'd meant to join these people after the panel to thank them in person for sending in guestpicks, but I got the time wrong. Till today, I still feel the pain of missing them....

You make my day, every day..

Brian Dinnigan

No, that is not a picture of Brian Dinnigan. It's Brian Dinnigan's hours of work on Largo, a character from the BGC OVAs. I note that attention is drawn to the hand, and the hair is done with care. Both have been under discussion between Brian and I for the difficulties they present to the artist (or the very occasional dabbler, in my case <G>) .

Or it could be Brian Dinnigan's rather pointed way of telling encouraging me that I still have a Largo picture to do, among some others.. *cough cough*..

I wish I could place some of Brian's e-mail to me here for he has a singularly dry sense of humour which I like, but perhaps it'd be best if you just visited his website... :)

Thank you, each time your gift comes to mind.. you make my day, every day... :)
