Introduction

Here are some pictures I took on a recent trip to Mexico. They are mostly of a place called Taxco, famous for its beautiful silver jewelery and picturesque mountain setting. All pictures were taken with my Canon A70, with very little digital manipulation done afterwards. Of note is that many builings appear skewed, which is occasionally caused by the angle at which I took the picture, but more often than not it's because the structure is skewed. Taxco resides on a mountain, there isn't a flat surface in town!

The Pictures

Here are a few pictures of the interior of the Iglesia de Santa Prisca. It's hard to photograph well, not so much because using flash isn't allowed (I don't much like it and rarely use it), but because it's pretty crowded and it's not easy to find a good spot where to calmly snap away.

The outside of the church is very beautiful too, with detailed carvings on its stone walls. Unfortunately it was being cleaned at the time, so I had to be careful to avoid showing the scaffolds in the photographs.

A few more sights of this fascinating place...
